About English for free

English for free is free language learning software written to help people learning english as a second language.

It is a bit of fun which will help English language learners  increase their vocabulary, as well as learn phrases, over a wide range topics through games and tests.

The software requires access to this website as we are continually adding, changing and revising the content. These are loaded each time the software is run.  We may change this in the future.

About the software/resources we used to create it :-

The flags on the first screen are from famfamfam  and produced by Mark James.

The images are all in the public domain. If you see an image which you believe is copyright, let us know.

EnglishForFree is written in Visual C++ and uses the ptk library to hide the graphical gubbins.

We used and are using paint.net  as our graphical editing software.

The images are from Free digital photos.
